In the high tech city of Palo Alto, California a thief breaks in and steals more than $60,000 worth of computers and valuables of the late Apple Co-founder Steve Job’s house, the AP reports.
Kariem McFarlin, 35 was charged with burglary and selling stolen valuables after breaking into the house on July 17th 2012, nine months after the death of Steve Jobs, but is not being reported until now.
At the time of the burglary, the house was surrounded by a temporary construction barrier. The prosecutor likely said McFarlin did not know that it was the home of Steve Jobs. McFarlin remains jailed with bail set at $500,000 pending an Aug. 20 court hearing.
Steve Jobs died on October 5, 2011 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.
